Andrea originated from Vernon, British Columbia and was born in 1972.

She did have family but developed friendships that became her family.I first met Andrea when she was 15 years old. She was bright, funny and had dreams of a life clean and doing normal things.

I would like it to be known that Andrea was a special girl who in spite of her hard life had dreams. She was capable of love, and had been loved.

I have very happy memories of Andrea. Two in particular come to mind that I will always cherish. Andrea and I would go out for lunch. She was adventurous and would try everything on the menu. We had our best talks about life when we were on our own.

Andrea was always trying to get me to order, “ dum sing “. One day she finally convinced me to order this dish. She of course never told me what it really was that I was eating. She howled with glee when she finally told me I had eaten squid and laughed even louder when I almost threw it up. No more dum sing for us! I made sure it was Mc.d’s or somewhere I knew what was going to be in the food.

Another memory was when I had a car and somehow it seemed each time we went out a piece of it would fall off. Andrea thought this was great and the joke would be how many pieces we would leave behind every time we went out.

I was privileged to know and work with Andrea as group home manager. Andrea was a wonderful soul and she will be in my heart forever.

Love Danielle
